Dr. Nathaniel Cleaveland is a Board Certified Surgical Ophthalmologist working at Mountain Eye Associates in western North Carolina. He uses the latest technologically proven care to reduce the need for glasses in most daily activities after cataract surgery. This includes advanced technology intraocular lenses and laser treatments. He offers comprehensive medical eye exams, as well as medical and laser treatment of glaucoma, and places a great value working with patients to explain disease processes and treatment plans.

Dr. Cleaveland is originally from Sylva, North Carolina, and received his undergraduate degrees in Biology and English from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then completed his medical degree with Honors from Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine, followed by an Internship and Surgical Ophthalmology residency training with Michigan State University where he won awards for his research and surgical skill. After completing his training, Dr. Cleaveland served in the southside Virginia region for 4 years, where he performed thousands of ophthalmic procedures. He served as the hospital Chief of Ophthalmology as well as President of the local Medical Society, and won awards for lectures to medical students and residents. Dr. Cleaveland is excited to now serve and bring the highest quality Ophthalmic surgical care to his patients in western North Carolina.

For his entire career, Dr. Anthony C. Corrado has solely focused on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face. This dedication to specialization has allowed him become a surgeon who patients trust when putting their face in his hands. His professional philosophy hinges on physician integrity, patient trust, and patient safety. Dr. Corrado believes in natural appearing results, which promote both outer and inner beauty.


He has trained with leaders in the fields of cosmetic surgery in both Newport Beach and Beverly Hills, CA. In Newport Beach he trained under the direction of H. George Brennan, MD, a past president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In Beverly Hills, he trained at the famed Roxbury Clinic under the direction of renowned plastic and reconstructive surgeons, Jay Calvert, MD and Andrew Ordon, MD host of the emmy award winning talk show The Doctors. He brings this extensive training and expertise to his practice, providing his patients with the latest cutting edge treatments and solutions for all facial rejuvenation needs.

Dr. Farrugia is board certified in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck surgery. He completed fellowship training in Otology and Neurotology. He has been appointed as an assistant Clinical Professor for the Department of Osteopathic Surgical Specialties at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.Dr. Farrugia cares for patients with all types of ear, nose, and throat disorders. This includes pediatric patients as well as the geriatric population. He incorporates a wide range of diagnostic testing into his evaluation. He uses the latest technology for both evaluation and surgical care.In addition to providing medical and surgical care for general Ear, Nose and Throat disorders, Dr. Farrugia also completed fellowship training and specializes in surgery for the ear and balance disorders. He cares for patients with hearing loss, tinnitus, dizziness, ear infections, and chronic ear disease. He performs surgery for the ear including reconstructive procedures for hearing loss, otosclerosis, cholesteatoma, and Baha implants. His particular interest is caring for patients with Meniere’s disease and other balance problems.Dr. Farrugia believes in a thorough patient-centered evaluation beginning with a careful history. He listens and responds to his patients problems and concerns.

Dr. Fox earned his Bachelor of Science at Grove City College in 2007. He received his Doctorate in 2011 from LECOM. LECOM was also where he completed his internship and ophthalmology residency from 2011-2015. During his residency, Dr. Fox also achieved a Masters of Science in medical education.

After residency, Dr. Fox completed a Fellowship in Cornea and Refractive Surgery with Dr. Francis W. Price, Jr., a world-renowned cornea specialist and pioneer in cornea transplantation.

Dr. Fox is a board-certified, fellowship trained ophthalmologist who currently practices at Fox Ophthalmology Associates in Indiana, Pennsylvania.
