Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Hsu earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physiological Sciences at the University of California, Los Angeles. During his early studies, he developed a keen interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine. From there, he worked at the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine, where he focused on holistic medicine in the treatment of disease. This holistic approach to disease management led Dr. Hsu to pursue his medical studies at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. After earning his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.), he completed a surgical residency in Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery at Mt. Clemens Regional Medical Center, Mt. Clemens, MI.

Dr Humphreys completed Otolaryngology residency training at Michigan State University - Detroit Medical Center in 2014. In 2015 he joined the Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. He is currently an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology, Medical Director of Otolaryngology at the University of Washington Medical Center (all campuses), Chief of the Division of Rhinology & Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery, and Co-Director of the Advanced Rhinology & Neurorhinology Fellowship. He serves on numerous national committees in the both the American Rhinologic Society and American Osteopathic College of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery.
