I am a board certified otolaryngologist (assistant professor) who specializes in Sleep surgery and Rhinology at Houston Methodist Hospital. I did my medical school at the University of Chicago, residency at Baylor College of Medicine, and fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital. I am also interested in sleep surgery research and I am currently developing models to help simulate surgeries using the Occulus.

Milan Amin MD

Dr. Amin is Professor of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at New York University Medical School and is the Director of the NYU Voice Center. He also serves as Service Chief of Otolaryngology at Tisch Hospital and Clinical Vice Chair of the Department. He is a member of several national laryngology-related societies and is Past President of the American Bronchoesophagological Association. Dr. Amin runs a busy Laryngology program at the NYU Langone Medical Center and serves as Fellowship Director of the NYU Fellowship in Laryngology and Voice Disorders. He has published over 100 peer reviewed papers, written 13 book chapters and has served as Editor of two major Otolaryngology textbooks. His research background and interests are diverse, though he focuses on translational research primarily. He currently has NIH funding to study the effects of chemoradiation on swallowing function.

Rizwan Aslam DO

Rizwan Aslam, DO, MSc, MBA, FACS is a board-certified, fellowship-trained head and neck surgical oncologist and reconstructive surgeon. Dr. Aslam is a member of the faculty at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he is Associate Professor of Otolaryngology, Neurosurgery, and Plastic Surgery. He is also serves as Program Director of the Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Residency. Dr. Aslam is an Attending Surgeon at University Medical Center in New Orleans, which provides superior care for patients from Louisiana and throughout the Gulf Coast, and at VA Medical Center, also in New Orleans. Originally from Western Pennsylvania, Dr. Aslam graduated Magna Cum Laude from Syracuse University. Thereafter, he earned his Doctorate at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Aslam has a special interest in the education of medical students and residents, and earned a Master in Medical Science from the Lake Erie College of Medicine. Dr. Aslam completed an MBA at the Tulane University Freeman School of Business. He is completing a Master in Public Health at the Tulane University School of Tropical Medicine and Public Health, in order to better understand how to develop public health policies and projects aimed at the prevention of Head and Neck cancer. Dr. Aslam’s advanced training included internship at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in New York and completed his residency at UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pennsylvania. In 2010, he completed a fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Cincinnati, where a member of the Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery clinical staff. During his time in Cincinnati, he was also a member of the clinical staff at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center at the VA Medical Center. In addition to sub-specialty training in removal of tumors from the head and neck, Dr. Aslam has had extensive training in microvascular reconstruction of head and neck defects. He maintains a special interest in robotic surgery, thyroid surgery, and malignant tumors of the head and neck. Dr. Aslam is Board Certified in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, with a particular focus on Facial Plastic Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and an active member (serving on national committees) of the American Head and Neck Society and the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He is also a member of the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. In addition to his various academic and professional appointments, Dr. Aslam has authored numerous peer reviewed articles, lectured nationally and he has internationally on various topics related to advanced care of the head and neck, with a particular focus on robot-assisted surgery and facial reconstruction skeleton via Virtual Surgical Planning.

Austin Bach DO, MPH

Dr. Austin Bach is a board certified ophthalmologist, who practices in multiple locations in South Florida. He has performed hundreds of strabismus surgeries for both adults and children, and has a large repertoire of other subspecialty surgeries. Dr. Bach also has one of the busiest emergency and trauma ophthalmology practices in the entire country. Dr. Bach graduated from Yeshiva University with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Biology. Dr. Bach continued to graduate school at Tufts University in Boston where he graduated with a Master’s in Public Health and a focus in Health Services Management and Policy. Dr. Bach then moved down to South Florida where he attended Nova Southeastern University for his medical degree in Osteopathic Medicine. He then continued on to his internship and ophthalmology residency at Larkin Community Hospital. Dr. Bach continued his postgraduate training at the world famous Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus where he also practiced as a clinical instructor. Dr. Bach is an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida, and a Clinical Assistant Professor at Nova Southeastern University. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Vanessa Baute Penry MD

Dr. Vanessa Baute Penry is a neuromuscular neurologist at Wake Forest School of medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Maria Berrocal MD

Dr. María H. Berrocal is CEO of Drs. Berrocal and Associates in San Juan, Puerto Rico and Associate Professor at the University of Puerto Rico. She received her Medical Degree from the University of Illinois. She completed her ophthalmology training at the University of Puerto Rico where she received the best surgeon award. She completed her surgical and medical retina training at the department of Ophthalmology New York Hospital/Cornell University. She then completed a medical retina fellowship with Dr. J Donald Gass at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and was a Heed Fellow Awardee. Her research interests include new techniques in vitreoretinal surgery, with a particular interest in complications of diabetic retinopathy. She has participated in numerous studies of novel treatments for the management of diabetic complications. She has received the American Academy of Ophthalmology Senior Achievement Award, and American Society of Retinal Specialists Senior Honor Award. She has received the Doctors Choice Award yearly since 2002. Dr. Berrocal has been an invited speaker and visiting surgeon in over 20 countries. She has received the Stanley Chang Lectureship, the J Donald Gass Lectureship, the ARDS Founders Lectureship, Fundadores Lecture SPRV, VBS Keynote Speaker, Bryan Liddy Lecture, Robison B Harley Lecture, and the Navas Lectureship. She has authored and co-authored over 160 articles and book chapters. Dr. Berrocal has held numerous positions in philanthropic societies. She has established educational scholarships for cancer survivors, scholarships for university students and has also helped establish a drug rehabilitation center in San Juan. She has held leadership positions in and is a member of: Pan-American Vitreoretinal Society, Pan-American Ophthalmological Society, Retina Society, American Society of Retinal Specialists (ASRS), American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and Women in Ophthalmology (WIO). She is past president of the Pan-American Vitreoretinal Society. She is on the editorial board of Retina Today, Retina Physician, Egyptian Journal of Ophthalmology, and is a reviewer for Ophthalmology, OSLI, European Journal of Ophthalmology, Retina and AJO journals among others.

The practice is the oldest independent practice in Michigan dedicated to glaucoma. His practice is focused on the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma and eye disease. Dr Citron received an A.B. in history at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He completed his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He was honored as the Walter C. Mill outstanding surgical extern. He completed his internship in internal medicine through Michigan State University at Botsford General Hospital now Beaumont Farmington Hills. Following that, Dr Citron served as Co-Chief Resident in Ophthalmology through Michigan State University at the Detroit Osteopathic Ophthalmology Consortium. He was twice honored with the Patrick Murray award for outstanding resident academic achievement. He then went on to serve as the Clinical Glaucoma and Cataract Fellow at Wayne State University’s Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit. Dr. Citron is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. He has served as a medical and surgical instructor of both cataract and glaucoma care and surgery for many residents in ophthalmology over 20 years. He has served as the Director of Glaucoma services for the Michigan State residency program in Detroit. Prior to joining the Glaucoma Center of Michigan, he was an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Kresge Eye Institute. He served as a member of the glaucoma faculty and the local Residency Program Director at Sinai-Grace hospital. Dr Citron is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology. He has received awards for service and teaching including the Presidential award from the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology.

He also serves as co-chair for the legislative division of the Ohio Ophthalmological Society as well as Section Chair of Ophthalmology for Premier Health. After completing residency at The Ohio State University, he remained as clinical assistant professor to complete fellowship training in Glaucoma along with Cornea and External Diseases. Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, he returned home to practice with Dayton Eye Associates, later becoming CVP Physicians Dayton.

Ian Conner MD PhD

Dr. Ian Conner is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh. He serves as the Glaucoma Service Chief and Fellowship Director, an Associate Program Director for the Residency Training Program at UPMC, and as the Faculty Director for the Resident Surgical Training Laboratory. In 1998, Dr. Conner obtained his BS in Chemical Engineering, Summa Cum Laude, from West Virginia University (WVU) College of Engineering and Mineral Resources, Morgantown, West Virginia. He received his MD/PhD (PhD in Anatomy and Neurobiology) from WVU’s School of Medicine in 2007. From 2007-2008, he completed an internship, Department of Internal Medicine, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Cincinnati, Ohio. From 2008-2011, he was a resident in University of Cincinnati’s Department of Ophthalmology. Dr. Conner, in 2011-2012, participated in a Glaucoma Fellowship, Department of Ophthalmology, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Conner is an active member of the American Board of Ophthalmology, the Chandler Grant Glaucoma Society, the American Glaucoma Society, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He is a board member for the Pittsburgh Ophthalmology Society. He is a co-author, Chandler and Grant’s Glaucoma, 6th Edition (Slack, 2018), and a co-author, Yanoff and Duker’s Ophthalmology, 5th Edition (Saunders, 2018). He has numerous published conference proceedings, and 32 peer reviewed scientific publications.

Anthony Corrado DO

Dr. Corrado graduated with honors at NYU. He earned his medical degree and completed his residency in Otolaryngology/Facial Plastic Surgery at UMDNJ-SOM. He also trained at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Following residency, he completed a fellowship in cosmetic surgery in Newport Beach and Beverly Hills, CA. He trained under the direction of H. George Brennan, MD, a past president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He also trained at the famed Roxbury Clinic in Beverly Hills under the direction of renowned plastic surgeons, Jay Calvert, MD and Andrew Ordon, MD host of the Emmy award winning talk show The Doctors. For his entire career, Dr. Anthony C. Corrado has solely focused on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face. Craig N. Czyz, DO, FACOS, FACS Dr. Czyz received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2003. He graduated from Wake Forest University in 1996 magna cum laude with a B.S. in Biology and Honors Thesis. He completed both an American Osteopathic Association (AOA) rotating and Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) transitional year internship at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia in 2004. Dr. Czyz completed his ophthalmology residency at Ohio University / Doctors Hospital in 2007 where he was Chief Resident. He then went on the complete a 2-year oculofacial plastic surgery fellowship followed by a 1-year American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS) cosmetic facial plastic surgery fellowship, both in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Czyz is currently a Professor of Ophthalmology, Chair Department of Ophthalmology, and Section Chief Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstruction Surgery at Ohio University/OhioHealth Doctors Hospital. He serves as Program Director for the OhioHealth Grant Medical Center Ocular Trauma Fellowship and is also faculty for the Ophthalmic Surgeons and Consultants ASOPRS fellowship program.
