Financial Foundations for Physicians

Physicians often earn high incomes early yet face complex financial decisions before they’ve had time to develop a structured framework. This session focuses on the foundational habits and concepts that support long-term financial stability, regardless of specialty or career stage.

Topics include goal clarity, disciplined saving, the role of emergency reserves, and the importance of understanding basic financial principles such as compounding. We’ll also review the major financial areas physicians must monitor over time—debt, taxes, investments, insurance, and estate planning—and discuss how misalignment across these areas can create unintended risks.
