Eunice Kohara DO

Eunice Kohara, D.O. grew up in southern California. She received her medical degree from Touro University California, College of Osteopathic Medicine. She went on to complete her Ophthalmology Residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital / Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, where she also served as chief resident. She then continued her education with a Pediatric Ophthalmology fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

Devin Mistry DO

Dr. Mistry is a 2008 graduate of Calvin College, where he received his Bachelors in Biology with a Minor in Biochemistry. He went to medical school at Michigan State University and completed his residency training in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at Metro Health Hospital in Grand Rapids. Following the completion of his residency, Dr. Mistry completed an additional year of fellowship training in the subspecialty of Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery at The Ohio State University. During his fellowship, he developed an expertise in the management of allergies and disorders of the sinuses and skull base. During his time at OSU, Dr. Mistry had the exciting opportunity to train under the forefathers of endoscopic skull base surgery, from whom he learned minimally invasive techniques to manage the most challenging problems of the sinuses and skull base. He is thrilled to join the team at Grand Rapids Ear, Nose and Throat serving as the only fellowship-trained Rhinologist in the western half of Michigan. Dr. Mistry’s professional interest include management of recurrent and chronic sinusitis, polyps, allergies and nasal breathing. He also has a special interest in tumors of the brain, pituitary, skull base, orbit and sinuses, for which he partners with his neurosurgical colleagues to use minimally invasive endoscopic techniques to remove these lesions entirely through the nose. Currently he co-directs a specialized clinic which focuses on complex disorders of the skull base.

Mary Musso DO

Dr. MaryFrances Musso is an Associate Professor at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital since August 2011 to present. Dr. Musso completed her Residency-Otolaryngology/Facial Plastic Surgery in Michigan State University, Metro Health Grand Rapids, MI in June 2010. Dr. Musso fulfilled her Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children’s Hospital Houston, TX in June 2011. Dr. Musso is the Surgical Sleep director at Texas Children's Hospital. She leads specialty clinics for persistent obstructive sleep apnea and Down Syndrome. She is the Associate Chief Surgical Officer and Otolaryngology Division Lead at Texas Children's Hospital West Campus.

He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology, and the American Association of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. He maintains an active clinical practice, lectures for both local and national conferences, and is an active volunteer for underserved populations in the Detroit area. He is an Assistant Professor at Oakland University-William Beaumont School of Medicine and Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Michigan State University.

Wayne Robbins DO

Dr. Wayne Robbins is an otolaryngologist with fellowship training in otology. He has been a program director since 1998 and has served on the Board of Examiners, the Board of Governors and chaired the Education Committee for the American Osteopathic College of Otolaryngology. After serving on the osteopathic accreditation committee for ten years he chaired that committee, the Council of Medical Education, until he was elected to the Review Committee for Otolaryngology for the ACGME in 2015. He holds an academic appointment at Michigan State University and Ohio University. In his spare time Dr. Robbins enjoys two granddaughters and is an instrument rated private pilot.

William Sawyer DO

William Sawyer, DO is a board-certified fellowship trained corneal specialist. Dr. Sawyer specializes in cataract and refractive surgery and corneal diseases and treatments. He has practices in Weatherford and Granbury, TX. Previously, Dr. Sawyer spent 5 years as the only corneal specialist in Northeast Arkansas. He has also practiced in New Braunfels, TX and participated in medical mission trips to San Ignacio, Belize. Before medical school, Dr. Sawyer graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Abilene Christian University, in Abilene, Texas. He graduated from the University of North Texas Health Science Center- Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, TX. Dr. Sawyer received his ophthalmology residency training at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He went on to advance his training by completing a fellowship in Cornea and External Diseases of the Eye at The Ohio State University. Since his time in residency and fellowship, Dr. Sawyer has been an active member in many professional organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Osteopathic Association, and the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology & Otolaryngology. He has been on panels and given lectures at ophthalmic conferences. Dr. Sawyer is a three time recipient of the Patrick Murray Award in recognition for the highest ophthalmology exam scores among osteopathic physicians in the United States. During his time at Ohio State he was recognized as The Teaching Fellow of the Year for his ability to teach residents and further their knowledge in ophthalmology.

Sirtaz Sibia DO

Dr. Sibia has received training at the finest institutions. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry at the University of Miami. He received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Sibia completed his Ophthalmology residency at Michigan State University, followed by an oculoplastics fellowship at the Beraja Medical Insitute in Miami, Florida. As an accomplished surgeon, Dr. Sibia draws on his vast clinical experience along with his dedication to leading edge technology and advanced surgical techniques. He strives to provide the care that he would expect for himself and his family. Dr. Sibia educates his patients about their condition and creates a custom management plan in every case. For over fifteen years, Dr. Sibia has performed thousands of surgical eye procedures. Dr. Sibia has volunteered several times on mission trips to India where he provided much needed surgery and care for the less fortunate, as well as teaching the local ophthalmologists his surgical techniques. Dr. Sibia is a national speaker and gives lectures on multiple topics to his peers. He has served many years as a Board of Governor for the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and has held the offices of Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and is currently the President of the colleges. He has traveled many times to Washington, D.C. to meet with policy experts and Members of the U.S. Congress on healthcare issues. In his free time, Dr. Sibia enjoys spending time and traveling with his family.

John Siddens DO

John D. Siddens, D.O. graduated from the Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine (now Nova Southeastern) in North Miami Beach, Florida, and then finished an ophthalmology residency at Botsford Hospital in Detroit. He competed a fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the Kresge Eye Institute at Wayne State University in Detroit. This prestigious fellowship was completed under the direction of Frank A. Nesi, MD, and Geoffrey J. Gladstone, MD, and covered all areas of periocular, eyelid and orbital disease and surgery. After being in private practice for 20 years in Greenville, Dr. Siddens joined the Greenville Health System’s (GHS) Department of Plastic Surgery. When GHS opened the GHS Eye Institute in 2014, he became one of its’ founding physicians, and the Director of the GHS Eye Institute’s Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery service. GHS transformed into Prisma Health in 2017, becoming South Carolina’s largest not-for-profit health care provider. In 2019, Dr. Siddens was promoted to Division Chief of Ophthalmology for Prisma Health Ophthalmology Upstate and held that position until 2023. Dr. Siddens has now returned to full time practice in ophthalmic plastic surgery with Prisma Health. With more than 30 years of work in his field, Dr. Siddens offers the experience performing more than 20,000 surgeries and utilizes the latest diagnostic and surgical equipment to provide state of the art care for patients with needs in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Leonid Skorin, Jr., DO, OD, MS, FAAO, FAOCO Dr Skorin is a Consultant in the Department of Surgery, Community Division of Ophthalmology at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea and Austin, MN, and is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in Rochester, MN. Dr. Skorin completed his OD at the Illinois College of Optometry and his DO at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He did his osteopathic rotating internship in Tulsa, OK and his ophthalmology residency at Michigan State University/Metropolitan Hospital. He did a neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at the University of Illinois Eye & Ear Infirmary. Dr. Skorin completed the Mayo Clinic Leadership Development Program in 2010 and a Master of Science in Medical Education Leadership through the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011. He completed the American Osteopathic Association Health Policy Fellowship in 2012. He has lectured internationally, published numerous articles, textbook chapters and was one of the cover editors of six textbooks. His most recent book, The Ophthalmic Office Procedures Handbook was just released as hard-copy with accompanying eBook in February, 2024 by the international medical and science publishers, Wolters Kluwer.

Libby Smith DO

Libby J. Smith, DO is the Director of the UPMC Voice Center and Division Chief of Laryngology within the University of Pittsburgh Department of Otolaryngology. She is currently a Professor of Otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz, home of the Fighting Banana Slugs. After receiving her Doctor of Osteopathy from University of Health Sciences, College of Medicine she completed Otolaryngology residency at Grandview/Kettering Hospital in Dayton, OH. From there, Dr. Smith completed a Fellowship in Laryngology, Care of the Professional Voice with Dr. Sataloff in Philadelphia, PA. She then joined the faculty at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Her primary research interests are laryngeal EMG and surgical ergonomics.
