Kristin Reidy, DO, Named President of the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery

On May 12, 2017, Kristin Reidy, DO, assumed the Presidency of the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.  She also assumed the Presidency of its Foundation Board of Directors which is responsible for annual educational and charitable donations. She has been a member of the governing board of the AOCOO-HNS for many years having served as their President-Elect, Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer, and Member at Large.

Her work for this organization to date has focused on national advocacy on behalf of its members and their patients regarding reimbursement and other issues. This year during her presidency, she will focus on and continue to support the almost 50 osteopathic ophthalmology and otolaryngology residencies as they go through the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education merger of DO and MD residencies.

The AOCOO-HNS will also host a practice management meeting in Detroit in October and the Annual Clinical CME Assembly meeting in Bonita Springs, Florida in May 2018. Dr. Reidy is excited about the opportunities that her position holds and she is grateful to the Eye Associates of New Mexico for supporting her efforts over the last 15 years while participating with this and other state and national medical organizations. Congratulations Dr. Kristin Reidy!
