ACA Workshops

May 11, 2017:

ENT: Sleep Apnea Workshop: Michael Abidin, MD – 3:30-5:30pm
Objective: The course will review a general history of the hyoid suspension followed by a description of the current technique and accompanying literature. Afterwards there will be a hands-on demonstration and workshop teaching the aforementioned technique. An experienced surgeon should be able to perform the hyoid suspension after attending this workshop. Click here to register.

ENT: Videostroboscopy Workshop: Libby Smith, DO – 3:30-5:30pm
Objective: During this workshop, attendees will learn the basics of stroboscopy and how to perform rigid stroboscopy.  The hands-on portion of the workshop will provide each participant  the opportunity to perform rigid stroboscopy, with one-on-one interaction with a stroboscopy specialist.  Upon completion, attendees should have an appreciation of how the addition of stroboscopy improves their care of the dysphonic patient, in both benign and glottal cancer lesions. Hands On Injection of Botulinum: Sirtaz Sibia, DO; Austin Coleman, DO- 3:30-5:30pm
Objective: To learn about and how to use some of the various facial fillers.  Also, to learn how to use Botox injections for cosmetic use. This course is limited to 10 people. Click here to register.

May 12, 2017:

ENT: Sculpting the Nose: Integration of Art and Science Workshop: Peter Schmid, DO- 3:30-6:30pm
Objective: This highly interactive hands-on workshop will assist the physician in constructively sculpting the anterior facial boney platform and intricate nasal structures with an additive clay approach for surgeons. Participants will learn how to shape, form and aesthetic anatomy of the nose to improve surgical outcomes. Click here to register.
